A Typical Adventurer's Club Show
These are frame shots I took from a 16 mm print of one of The Buddy Johnson Adventurer’s Club shows.
Thousands, upon thousands of children appeared on the Adventurer's Club show from the 1950s to the 60s, along with visitors of all types, actors, artists, musicians, and even an occasional politician.
Since I created this website I have heard from numerous people who were touched by my father’s life, some have sent me stories, or information, or images such as the one above probably from 1976. Rick Toler of Oklahoma City purchased the Colorcraft Poster Company many years ago and in its archives found this poster. A google search led him to this site and an interesting email exchange between us. Just one example of many things which I had no idea existed.
